ARC's laboratory is located at at the University of Colorado's Anschutz Medical Campus-previously named Fitzsimons campus-, a brand new medical research complex.

Special features of our research facility include:

Hypobaric chamber - an environmentally controlled study chamber with an airlock. The airlock provides shuttle access for personnel and equipment entering the study chamber during research studies. Absolute pressure of the chamber is controlled and displayed in units of mmHg. Pressre within each chamber is controlled between 625-225 mmHg (1500-9150 meters; Denver -30,000 ft), with a steady-state control accuracy of 2 mmHg at 428 mmHg. hypobaric chamber

At Altitude Research Center, our skilled group of applied and clinical scientists engages in the study of high altitude medicine and physiology in a concerted effort
to promote the health of all people in the high country.>
